Being a big fan of Nambu iron ware, I found this kind of picture in the internet, and I decided to visit the artisan’s studio “Kamasada Casting Studio” in Morioka. (the frying pan in the picture is the work of Kamasada Casting Studio)
南部鉄器の大の愛用者である私は、インターネットで上記の様な写真を見まして、なんとも美しいモダンなフォルムの南部鉄器を作り出している盛岡の工房「釜定」を訪れることにしました。(写真のフライパンは釜定の作品です。)
Nambu iron ware is Iwate’s traditional artcraft loved by people all over the world.
”Kamasada Casting Studio” ( in Konyacho, Morioka city) is the Nambu iron ware creating artisan’s place which has long establishment of over 100 years.
南部鉄器は岩手県を代表する伝統工芸品であり、世界中の人々にも使われています。
盛岡市紺屋町にある「釜定」は100年以上の歴史のある老舗の南部鉄器工房です。
The third generation Master, Nobuho Miya who has experiences of living in Finland or holding private exhibitions in Western countries, creates both traditional works and innovative modern works at the studio.
欧米での個展開催やフィンランド在住経験もおありの3代目である宮伸穂（みや のぶほ）さんが、伝統の鉄瓶をはじめ様々な現代的な南部鉄器の作品を意匠・制作しています。
Snow remains at the side street, in the midst of winter in December 2018, I visited “Kamasada”.
雪が歩道に積もる2018年12月の真冬日の日に、「釜定」を訪れることができました。

An impressive line up of iron kettles what we call Tetsubin (鉄瓶). Each of them was elaborately made by the master of “Kamasada”.

Very modern stylish casserole pans which received “Good Design Award”.
グッドデザイン賞を受賞したキャセロールパンは和風は勿論、洋風のテーブルセッティングにもお洒落に馴染みそうですね！

天使の様な置物も素敵です☆彡。蝋燭台も並んでいました。
I am happy that I could visit Kamasada Casting Studio and enjoyed looking at all those beautiful stylish works. The shallow frying pan I bought is exellent for pancakes, crepe, Okonomiyaaki, and more! Cooking with this shallow pan gives me much more happy cuisine time than ever!
釜定を訪れるてスタイリッシュで美しいフォルムの南部鉄器の作品を拝見できて本当に良かったです。
私が購入したシャロウ(浅型)フライパンはパンケーキやクレープやお好み焼きが本当に上手に焼けて、茄子の厚切りをソテーしたりと、今や大のお気に入りのフライパンになりました！
