A real charm of a cycling trip is found in refreshing by riding in the nature with the wind or bicycling around the local enjoying foods and views. Recently, we can see miscellaneous new cycling courses here and there. Within an hour from downtown Sendai, you can reach to beaches or mountains and enjoy the nature. A bike trip can promise you will find something new if it is hard to go by car. We will show you some of new cycling spots in Miyagi.
自転車旅の醍醐味は、自然の中を風を切って走り爽快感を味わえること、または土地の物を楽しみながら散歩気分で気ままにリラックスした旅ができることではないでしょうか。最近、各地に様々なサイクリングコースを見かけるようになりました。仙台市街中心から足を延ばせば気軽に海や山などの自然を楽しむことができます。車では行きにくい場所も自転車ならば新しい発見もあるはず。今回はそんな宮城のサイクリングコースを紹介したいと思います。

◇JAPAN ECO TRACK Miyagi-Kennan Hamakaido (Teizan canal and Yuriage)
JAPAN ECO TRACK is organized by JAPAN ECO TRACK Committee, the bike courses derive from “SEA TO SUMMIT”, which is their environmental sport event. Their concept is, “Explore Japanese nature and culture by bike on the road, hiking on trail, and kayaking on sea, river and lake.” and made bike courses throughout Japan. “Miyagi-Kennan Hamakaido (Teizan canal and Yuriage)”was opened in 2018. There are five bike courses and three trekking courses based on Iwanuma and Natori area. It is available to get the course map written in Japanese and English from their website, which shows each course’s level from beginner to advanced. JAPAN ECO TRACK has another route, “Zao” over Miyagi and Yamagata. In their Zao course, there are 15 bike routes and three trekking routes, opened in 2018.

◇ジャパンエコトラックみやぎ県南浜街道
「ジャパンエコトラック推進協議会」による2009年に始まった環境スポーツイベント、SEA TO SUMMITが由来となっています。「トレッキング・カヤック・自転車等の人力による移動手段で日本各地の豊かで多様な自然を体感し、地域の歴史や文化、人々との交流を楽しみながら旅をする」をコンセプトに全国各地でサイクリングコースが作られました。「みやぎ県南浜街道」は2018年に公開されました。岩沼・名取を中心としたサイクリング5ルート、トレッキング3ルートがあり、初心者から上級者までのコースを紹介した日英のマップがダウンロードできます。また、宮城県と山形県にまたがる蔵王ルートはサイクリング15ルート、トレッキング3ルートが同じく2018年に公開されています。

◇SENDAI SATOYAMA RIDE
SENDAI SATOYAMA RIDE suggests bike tours in Akiu,Sakunami,Jogiand Izumi area and they also show the local food and activities. They introduce not only basic information such as each course’s level, distance and time, but also a variety of activities. There are 30 cycle stations which offer services of water supply, rest, pump and so on. (July, 2020) You will enjoy Akiu/Sakunami Satoyama, the west of Sendai area by bike, which is famous for onsen, hot springs!

◇仙台里山ライド
秋保・作並・定義・泉地域のそれぞれのサイクルコースや、各地域での見どころ食べどころが紹介されています。それぞれのコースの難易度や所要時間などサイクリングの基本情報はもちろん、各コースでの体験アクティビティも豊富に紹介されています。給水、空気入れ等を提供するサイクルステーションは30か所（2020年7月調べ）。秋保・作並の温泉地で名高い仙台西部の里山をペダルをこぎながら楽しむのはいかがでしょうか。
泉ヶ岳の雄大な景色を楽しめるコースもあります。
泉ヶ岳ヒルクライムコースのゴールはスプリングバレースキー場です。
仙台里山ライドのサイクルステーションはこの旗が目印です。

◇Umimachi Ride
“Umimachi Ride”is a bike course introduced by “Umimachi Sanpo”, an organization that suggests trips based on Higashi-matsushima, Ishinomaki and Onagawa, mainly a coast-ride. They show Kitakami-Kamiwari, San Juan and Oshika peninsula round-course. In their website, you can see each course’s details such as the level and time. It can also be seen food spotting sites with real pictures, they might rouse your dream of journey.

◇海街ライド
東松島・石巻・女川の旅の提案をする「海街さんぽ」が提供する自転車コースが「海街ライド」。
北上・神割コース、サン・ファンコース、牡鹿半島周遊コースの3ルートが紹介されています。サイトの中には各コース難易度、所要時間の詳細情報のみならず、グルメ情報など実際の旅のシュミレーションされた画像を見ることができ、旅への夢を掻き立ててくれます。

Miyagi Cycle Platform is a website for anyone who travel by bike in Miyagi. You can get needed information about trips, services and buying tours. Their “Recommended courses”have 18 bike routes. Some of them are overlapped as SENDAI SATOYAMA RIDE and JAPAN ECO TRACK Miyagi-Kennan Hamakaido, but there are workout course, Marumori course and Kurikoma course, thoe are popular tourist sites in Miyagi. They don’t prepare each route map though, but basic information for bike tours such as time, distance and tour spot. You can access in English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese and Thai.

こちらは国内外のサイクリストの方が宮城県を自転車で旅するために必要な情報の収集・サービスの調達・ツアーの購入等を行うことができるwebプラットフォームです。「おすすめコース」では18のルートが紹介されています。先に触れた仙台西部や県南のコースと一部重複するところもありますが、旅に出る前に調整するトレーニングコースや、丸森、くりこまのコースも紹介されています。地図はありませんが、所要時間や距離などの情報、立ち寄り場所が紹介されており、サイトの対応言語は日本語のほか、中国語（繁体字）、英語、タイ語が用意されています。

◇soraumi cycling
soraumi cycling is a tour planning organization by Kumagai Cycle, a sport-bike shop in Ishinomaki. They prepare bike tours with local guides based on Ishinomaki, Onagawa, Oshika peninsula and so on. Most courses are coastline, so you can pick up many activities as enjoying fresh seafood of Ishinomaki area, learn secrets of each places from the locals and more. They prepare an English page in the website.

石巻のスポーツバイクプロショップ、クマガイサイクルが2018年に立ち上げた団体で、ガイドと一緒に石巻・女川・牡鹿半島等を自転車で旅をするツアーを提供しています。海に面したところを走ることから石巻・女川・牡鹿半島の地元で味わう新鮮な浜の食体験や地元ガイドによる穴場や地元の方との交流も楽しめるアクティビティが満載です。サイトは英語対応です。
